The last part of the sheet is for return products after being returned the first time. In other words
this is the second time the same product is returned after AITs have been used during the
previous return. For this economic analysis, the depot is responsible for the tagging of products.
The After First Time Return Products is the basis for comparison. This process consists of the
same process steps as Return Products. Actually, for the base comparison everything remains
the same because this analysis presumes that every return product process is the same. Thus, all
task times and laborers should be similar to the previous case resulting in the same final
calculations for Total Cost and Cost/Return. However, the After First Time Return Products for
2D Barcodes, RFID, and the 2D Barcodes+RFID combination are quite different when compared
to the current process. Similar to the previous case, all task times that are related to operations
that fall under the Benefits/Disadvantages category are calculated using the equation above and
the corresponding percent difference. For some operations, the assumption was made that a task
may not be necessary in which the associated task time would be 0. For example, consider After
First Time Returns (RFID). The first task is to unpack. The assumption is that the reader can
read the tag without unpacking the item. Thus unpacking and packing the item for identification
purposes would no longer be necessary. Hence, the task times for these processes have all been
assigned 0. Note that this may not be the case given that items cannot be read through some
packing materials such as EDS. Total Cost/Return, Return Count, Total Cost, and Savings are all
calculated in the same way as Return Products
